What brought you to Davos 2019?
I went to Davos in 2019 to unite corporations around the Global Goals with a specific focus on the voice of citizens, purpose investment, public-private partnerships, sustainable food, and gender equality.
Defining leadership moment at Davos:
In Davos, I saw companies, academia, startups, citizens, and governments as they realized the value of uniting around the Global Goals. A defining leadership moment for me in Davos was my role in facilitating a conversation around this. I saw people come together for purpose and bring whatever they can contribute – skills, resources, experience, and more. Working together is the only way we can achieve the Global Goals by 2030. I enjoyed playing an orchestration role in facilitating this conversation and seeing people realize the power of partnership.
Personal motivation to advocate for women and girls:
My personal motivation to advocate for women and girls in my work and life comes from growing up in Denmark in an environment where being a woman was not an obstacle for me. Later, I realized the obstacles that many women face around the world due to culture, politics, religion, and more. Therefore, I made it my mission to advocate for women and girls in my work and life.
